Dominos pizza anyone?

¡Hola mi familia y amigos! ¿Cómo están?

So this weeks email title is definitely kind of strange...haha but for some reason we had dominos pizza ordered to the church for us (from member) multiple times! Kind of humorous but luckily I do LOVE pizza.

So first off the meeting I was telling you about that happened Thursday was incredible! Elder Evans and Elder Allen from the seventh/ missionary department came and talked about discipleship as well as all the new things coming with digital age of missionary work. One thing that really stood out was the thought, is our single greatest desire discipleship? The meeting was about more than rules and technology...really getting to the heart of WHY we do all that we do! But the technology stuff is really cool too! We're doing a refresh and restart by getting new iPads and starting off with all these amazing planning apps and LANGUAGE APPS (ahhhh so excited) and then later on we'll get back on facebook. (I'll be off facebook for a month or so more FYI). They're also starting a pre-MTC program and a program for your last 6 weeks to adjust to normal life again!! (They finally heard you mom) so yeah the work is hastening!! It's an amazing opportunity to be a part of it.

We got to meet with a lot of people this week...and me and Sister McAlister started to realize that our teaching pool is a majority of 80 year old single women haha. Good thing I love old people? :) it's the best. We also had Larry (one of our Ward missionaries) come with us to visit Maria Garcia and he ended up staying after and really loving it! Just shows you how crucial member presents really are!!

We got to go over to Roosevelt island on Saturday because one of our former investigators we've been trying to meet with finally set an appointment with us!! And it was awesome! Fani and her daughter Sandra (again Fani is around 80 haha) were so amazing! They fed us and shared their testimony and kept telling us we were angels! I'm so excited to see what might come of it :) one of the members from the Manhattan 3rd Ward lives in their building and has established an amazing relationship with them which is such a blessing too!

So you all probably want an update on Jose.... And.... HE CAME TO CHURCH!!!! And was earlier than even us. And loved it. And we had another appointment with him on Monday and he has so many amazing questions too! We taught him the restoration even though he already read the pamphlet and he's reading the Book of Mormon. We're so excited. Hopefully all continues to well! Keep Jose in your prayers :)

Also we got to have a first lesson with our other new investigator family (Yeini, Brandon, and Angel) and their 14 year old boy has such sincere interest and his friend is actually a member. Hopefully we'll be able to continue to meet with them, I can definitely see some amazing potential.

Some other fun things of the week we also had interviews and a mini training from President Morgan which is always such a blessing! We also got to go to the Doxfords for dinner yesterday too, they're the best:) I love our Ward and the members so much! Definitely makes our life happier :) also the snow and slush and weather here has been crazy...haha. Well sorry if this email has a lot of typos or is scattered we didn't have a ton of time. But I hope you all have an amazing week!! I love y'all!

Con Amor,
Hermana Smart
